Light Community Fund 

       

Text Box:  Dear Light Community,   Ten years ago this November I became ill.  In February of 2002 my illness was diagnosed as Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.  The light community gathered to support me in having the best insurance to cover the medical treatments, pay for some of my holistic treatments and create a fund to cover my living expenses when I was not able to work.  With gratitude for the love and support that was provided by many of you, I am healthy and active in life and consciousness work again.   Recently it came to my attention that several members of the light community are struggling to afford medical and holistic treatments for serious illnesses.  For instance, Nancy could use some acupuncture to relieve the pain of neck disks disintegration in addition to help with co-payments for the medical procedures.  Nancy has spent her life healing and helping others.  During a prayer session it became clear that it was time to extend the resources of our community to others in our community in the way that was given to me.  After conferring with the members of Bay Light Spiritual Community here in Rhode Island, it was decided that we would set up a fund—The Light Community Fund—sponsored by Bay Light.  The money donated will be deposited in the Bay Light saving account rather than general funds.  Here’s our dream:  Ideally a 100 people would be able and willing to gift $100 to activate the fund.   In fact, we invited every one who feels called to help donate any amount from $1 and more that is in harmony with their life.    We would like the fund to be active and regenerating.  If you received from the fund and your need is met, hopefully you will be able to donate back to the fund after you feel restored to health.  If you are not able to give funds, offering service and/or prayers and intentions would be appreciated.  Here’s the information to donate. v      make your check out to Bay Light Spiritual Community and in the memo line please write Light Community Fund.
